Technologies for Space and Defence

As space is a key enabler for defence and an increasingly contested domain, ensuring control and resilience across the space domain is critical. This hackathon explores how the European space ecosystem can support defence missions and operations, contributing to a secure space domain through artificial intelligence, autonomous and secured systems, and innovative solutions for data collection and processing.

You can take on following challenges:

Challenge 1: Protection of Space Assets – Detect, Analyse, and Counter Threats in Space

Challenge 2: Space for Defence – EO, Navigation, Communication, and Multi-Domain Operations

Challenge 3: Sovereign Aerospace – UAVs, Management, Production, and Countermeasures

Who can participate?

>>Citizens of EU countries, Norway and Ukraine

>>Participants must be 18+ and submit valid ID or passport (before and during the event)

Hackathon is open for:

>> SMEs (Defence Industry Professionals, Cybersecurity organisations, Tech Developers and Engineers)

>> Startups (Defence and Civil Start-ups, UA Founders and Supporter Communities)

>> Researchers (Civil and Military Academic Researchers & Universities, Innovation Hubs and Defence Research Labs)

>> Experts (Cybersecurity & Space and Satellite Technology,  EU and National Defence Experts)

What can you gain from your participation?

>>Best projects will win monetary prizes adding up to €3000 and get a chance to participate in an exclusive EU-wide live pitching in front of EU member states.
